London, England/london3-560Previous | Home | NextThis is the appearance of the site today. All buildings have been demolished except for the front portico and two colonnade wings. In the 1860s, after an outbreak of typhoid, the London Orphan Asylum was vacated. The Salvation Army took over the building in 1871; after extensive remodeling they made it their "National Barracks" with housing and training facilities. |
